Food line, buckets of ingredients

You may not know this, but one of the absolute best ways to boost your immune system and keep it in tip top shape is with salads made with fresh vegetables.  The more veggies you include in your daily diet the better off you’ll be.  We just happen to provide some of the best combinations around.

If you’re searching for a well researched method to avoid colds, the flu, and other infections… look no further. Try planning some of your meals to include these 3 effective body immune system boosters.

Salad Bar Fresh Vegetables

Fresh Kale

Ever heard of Kale?  Ya us too… One of the planets healthiest foods… AND it’s one of our favorites cause it’s so versatile to use… salads, wraps, smoothies… CHIPS!  Yes… Kale chips. It has more vitamins than we can count. We put it in several of our salads and bowls.  Check out our Superfood Salad.

Red bell peppers

If you believe citrus fruits have the most vitamin C of any fruit or vegetable, believe again. Ounce for ounce, red bell peppers include practically 3 times as much. They’re also our favorite of the 3 main popular varieties of peppers.

They’re not just good for your immune system, but also give a little nudge to healthy skin from the Beta carotene department.  We really like the flavor enhancement they give to our Baja Steak Salad

Broccoli Raw or Steamed

WE LOVE Broccoli!… and it’s turbo charged with vitamins, minerals and wait for it… Protein! Loaded with vitamins A, C, and E, as well as fiber and numerous other anti-oxidants, broccoli is one of the healthiest veggies you can place on your plate. Yummm.

The key to keeping its power unchecked is to cook it as little bit as possible– or even better, not. Steaming is the finest way to keep more nutrients in the food.

You can find broccoli all over our menu, but one of our most favorite is the Farmhouse Bowl. Everything but the house!
